Annapurna Nar Phu Khang La Pass Trek is the most ideal trek to experience on the Annapurna circuit. Kang La pass trek is off the circuit in the Annapurna Range passes through the least touched ancient remote villages. The trek to Kang La ascends to the elevation of 5300 m at the end.  The historical villages, gompas, canyons, rivers, and naturally preserved landscapes overwhelm trekkers throughout the journey.

 

Annapurna NarPhu Kanga La Pass Trek starts from the usual trekking point on Annapurna Circuit; Besishahar. However, Trek could also start from several points like Jagat or Dharapani or Toko since vehicles has a reach till there. The beautiful outlook of the marvelous Mt. Manaslu is seen from Dharapani. The real adventure starts ahead from Koto since the trails are carved on the ridge of the huge rocks and mountains on the trek to Nar Phu Valley. In addition, the unbelievable landscape to the Nar Phu Valley leaves the hiker’s eyes wide-opened. To the surprise, the trek is full of beautiful and splendid suspension bridges with spectacular views from over the rivers that are enthralling.

 

The heart fills up with beauty throughout the way. The walk behind the waterfalls and crossing the wooden bridges kept over rivers excites travelers and amazes them. The ancient and lost village of Phu and Nar called Phugaon and NarGaon along with its house structures take you back to 5th-century civilization is equally important. Not only trekker gets to live the mixed Himalayan and ancient Buddhist culture along with the village people but also spend a night in the NarPhedi monastery.

 

These trails give you an ideal experience to realize the deep meaning of life. The colorful gompas, Tibetan chortens, prayer flags, and stones nearby the gorges preserved are captivating. Similarly, the stone-stacked house, gompas, and lodges can be seen during night stays in the villages. The trail is extremely adventurous along the side ridges of the mountains and on the side of the deep canyons. The elevation takes you up in the cloudy fogs and it beautifies the adventure. At the same time, trekkers also explore valleys during acclimatization. Trekkers can opt to hike to Himlung Himal Base camp as well for an extraordinary experience.

 

The howling breeze along with the bell sound of the Yak and blue sheep becomes your music all the way to the destination. During the trek to Kang La, trekkers feel peace deeply by getting into nature. Crossing the glaciers and wooden bridges the trails ascend to the calm & clear Kang Lake and finally hike up to Kang La Pass at an elevation of 5320 m. Retracing back on a steep downfall, from Kang La the magnificent and splendid view of Annapurna II and other snow-clad mountain peaks can be observed. The comfortable lodges in Ngawal serve you delicious food. Trekkers retrace their way back to Besisahar via Chame either on a jeep on foot as preferred by trekkers.
