Overview

Nagarkot Balthali Trekking is a short trek from Kathmandu valley. It is located at 1730m from sea level. There is a little settlement of Balthali Village which lays on an intersection of Roshi and Ladku Khola waterways. This put on the top slope can be a Neverland for harmony sweethearts. The view from the highest point of neighboring slopes, Nepali wide open with terraced farmlands, and ochre-covered ranch houses cause anybody to feel you are in heaven. One can see the blanketed pinnacles of Dorje Lhakpa, Langtang on the northern side. On the way, it passes through small farming villages where you can experience the local people's lifestyle, alongside lavish green woodlands, old sanctuaries, and terraced farmland. The hike starts from Kathmandu and ends at Kathmandu Valley.


Nagarkot is a beautiful hill where we can see sunrise and sunset. On a clear day, we can see the spectacular view of the Himalayas, like Mt. Everest, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Gauri Shankar, etc. It feels great to be with nature, villages, and rural Nepal. On the eastern hilltop of Kathmandu, Nagarkot provides an outstanding panoramic view of the Himalayan range on a clear day. Nature lovers and bird watchers can go through a day investigating and finding some excellent types of untamed life, custom, and culture immaculate by advancement. This "off-beaten area" has unlimited preliminaries prompting some obscure towns of Tamangs, Newars, and some ethnic clans, consequently offering magnificent short climbs.

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

    Your trip day starts today when you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Upon your arrival, you will be received by our representative at the airport. He will be carrying a signboard with our company’s name on it. Then you will be transferred to the tour hotel and checked in. A trip briefing will follow later today and the time will be notified to you by the representative who picks you up from the airport. We will come to meet and brief you about the trip at the fixed time. Until then just relax or explore a bit of surrounding.

  • Day 2 Heritage Tour of Kathmandu

    We take you for a day tour of cultural heritage monuments in Kathmandu valley after breakfast. The tour will give you a mixed insight on history, culture, art, architecture, and spirituality of Kathmandu valley. The sites include; Swoyambhunath aka Monkey Temple: The oldest of all sites in Kathmandu valley, Swoyambhunath is an important Buddhist spiritual site having the history over two thousand years old. This site has gained a popular name as monkey temple as this small forested hill is a good habitat for hundreds of monkeys. The visit there will heighten your spiritual and cultural experience. Patan City including Patan Durbar Square: A tour to medieval city of Patan gives you a great insight about ethnic Newari culture, Buddhist spirituality, religious harmony, art, and architecture while you stroll around the charismatic alleys taking you to magnificent local community squares known as Bahal and eventually leading you to an incredible medieval palace square. The monuments and skill of the local artisans displayed on those monuments in the square will stun you with their unbelievable charm. Boudhanath Stupa: The largest of its kind in the world, this magnificent stupa is a very important center of faith for the people following Tibetan Buddhism. This place is nice Circular Square with the stunning stupa in the middle of it which spreads a lot of spiritual vibrations around the atmosphere.

  • Day 3 Kathmandu – Chisapani (Basic Lodge Accommodation)

    Drive to Sundarijal to the northern part of Kathmandu valley after breakfast and start the hike of the day. An uphill hike of about five hours takes you through a forested area and beautiful local villages and finally to Chisapani. Today’s natural and cultural walk will give you an insight into the Nepali rural lifestyle. Stay overnight in Chisapani.

  • Day 4 Chisapani – Nagarkot (Luxury Accommodation)

    Take your breakfast and get ready to start the beautiful day in the middle hills with panoramic view of Himalayan range. The walk today goes through forested areas, local villages that boast the enigmatic countryside atmosphere. A walk for about 6 hours takes you to a beautiful hill station of Nagarkot. Check into a hotel and relax enjoying the beauty of this charming town.

  • Day 5 Nagarkot – Dhulikhel (Luxury Accommodation)

    Another beautiful day’s trek starts after breakfast. You will enjoy an incredible sunrise over the Himalayas with the spectacular view of the Himalayan range, given the clear weather. At the end of your hike today, a wonderful town of Dhulikhel will welcome you. Standing amidst nature, Dhulikhel boasts a magnificent panoramic Himalayan view. Check into hotel and relax.

  • Day 6 Dhulikhel - Namo Buddha (Luxury Accommodation)

    Trek from Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha to stay overnight. You will mostly walk through the motorable roadside today but you will surely have a beautiful experience of walking through local villages. Check into Namo Buddha Resort and relax.

  • Day 7 Namo Buddha - Balthali (Luxury Accommodation)

    A lovely morning exploration of the Namo Buddha monastery is the perfect way to start the day. After exploring the monastery, you will start the walk to Balthali village. This is a pleasant walking day mostly downhill to the river and a little uphill to reach a huge expanse of Balthali village on the rice field. Check into Balthali Village Resort; enjoy the view and relax.

  • Day 8 Balthali - Lakuri Bhanjyang or drive back Kathmandu.

    You will return back to Kathmandu today. An hour's walk will take you to Khopasi or via Godawari where your vehicle will be waiting for you. on the way back to Kathmandu we take a short time sightseeing in Panauti. panauti is a beautiful Newari town as well as many monuments. after another one and half hours, we drive back to the hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 9 Departure Day

    We will drive you to the airport for your departure flight.
