Asiana treks and tours offer Everest and Gokyo lakes trekking to be at the base of the highest mountain in the world! It is the dream of every adventure trekker and mountain lover. Trekking to Everest Base Camp brings your long-desired adventure to reality. Trekking in the Khumbu region through the famous Sherpa villages and Sherpa hospitality is such a pleasant experience that you cannot praise it more.

Trekking to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo lakes becomes even more magnificent when it is combined with trekking to Gokyo lakes and the region. Taking a detour from the usual route to Base Camp from Namche takes you to Gokyo where you can see the emerald green lakes tucked in the middle of the mountains which are lifetime memories. View of the serene and Crystal clear lakes with floating rudiyshel duck brings you such joy that makes your trek experience much better, successful and the route makes it more adventurous. Eventually, the route to the famous viewpoint Gokyo-Re and Chola pass are the beauty of life that meets at Lobuche via the glacial route and then leads you to Gorakshep, Everest Base Camp, and Kalapatthar.

Another very famous viewpoint just behind Mount Pumori and the lap of the high Himalayas Kalapatthar provides a panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks Mt Everest and Lhotse as well as the icefall of Khumbu and boasts a stunning sunrise from the high altitude of 5556 meters above sea level. The breathtaking view of the mountains from this magical viewpoint makes you forget the early morning effort you make to reach the Kala Patthar top. Once you reach the top of Kalapatthar, it adds to the joy of being at the base camp of the highest mountain the previous day and also heaven on earth.

Itineraries

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu(1337m/4385 ft)

    Your trip day starts today when you arrive to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Upon your arrival, you will be received by our representative at the airport. He will be carrying a signboard with our company’s name on it. Then you will be transferred to the tour hotel and checked in. A trip briefing will follow later today and the time will be notified to you by the representative who picks you up from the airport. We will come to meet and brief you about the trip at the fixed time. Until then just relax or explore a bit of surrounding.

  • Day 2 Heritage Tour of Kathmandu(1337m/4385 ft)

    We take you for a day tour of cultural heritage monuments in Kathmandu valley after breakfast. The tour will give you a mixed insight of history, culture, art, architecture and spirituality of Kathmandu valley. The sites include; Swoyambhunath aka Monkey Temple: The oldest of all sites in Kathmandu valley, Swoyambhunath is an important Buddhist spiritual site having the history over two thousand years old. This site has gained a popular name as monkey temple as this small forested hill is a good habitat for hundreds of monkeys. The visit there will heighten your spiritual and cultural experience. Patan City including Patan Durbar Square: A tour to medieval city of Patan gives you a great insight about ethnic Newari culture, Budhhist spirituality, religious harmony, art and architecture while you stroll around the charismatic alleys taking you to magnificent local community squares known as Bahal and eventually leading you to an incredible medieval palace square. The monuments and skill of the local artisans displayed on those monuments in the square will stun you with their unbelievable charm. Boudhanath Stupa: The largest of its kind in the world, this magnificent stupa is a very important center of faith for the people following Tibetan Buddhism. This place is nice Circular Square with the stunning stupa in the middle of it which spreads a lot of spiritual vibrations around the atmosphere.

  • Day 3 Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding (2610m/8561 ft)

    Take an early morning flight from Kathmandu airport to Lukla. The flight is a scenic Himalayan panoramic flight to the gorgeous mountain town of Lukla, the gateway to Everest trekking. After landing at the Lukla airport, take some time to prepare for the walk of the day. Start the trek for the day today to Phakding, a beautiful town on the bank on Dudhkoshi River. Approximately four hours of gentle walking on the Everest trail takes you to Phakding to spend overnight at a tea house.

  • Day 4 Phakding – Namche (3440 m/11283 ft)

    After taking breakfast at the tea house, you start the trek to astounding Sherpa town of Namche today. The walk today is mostly uphill making you cover a good distance of elevation. You will come across lots of yaks, Buddhist prayer flags, and many trekking adventurers like you and several other beautiful things. Once you arrive at Namche, you praise the charm of the town and the Himalayan view from there more. Check into a hotel and relax.

  • Day 5 Acclimatization Day at Namche (3440 m/11283 ft)

    Already at the elevation of 3440 meters above sea level, you need to acclimatize with the high altitude atmosphere. Thus it is an extra day at Namche to acclimatize doing some uphill side hikes. Once you return back to Namche from the hike, you will have some time to explore the charming town of Namche as well.

  • Day 6 Namche – Doley (4038m/14228 ft)

    Today, you are taking a route to Gokyo region, a different one from the usual route to Everest Base Camp. The stopover destination today is Doley situated amidst the mountains. Passing through scenic trails, the trek for the day comes to an end after about five hours at Doley.

  • Day 7 Doley – Machhermo 4,470 m/ 14,663 ft)

    From the 4050 m elevation of Doley, you are walking higher to the elevation of 4464 m at Macchermo, a village in the Gokyo region trekking trail. The trekking today, which starts after breakfast, will be of about four hours.

  • Day 8 Machhermo – Gokyo Lake 4700m/ 15,414ft)

    The walk today to Gokyo Lake is an epic one as it boasts some excellent views of mountains. The trek goes through diverse landscapes trailing up the mountain and a glacier. The view of the first of the Gokyo lakes and of the surrounding area brings such an incredible experience to you which remains with you forever. Stay at the small but beautifully settled Gokyo on the bank of a beautiful lake.

  • Day 9 Gokyo Exploration -Thangna (4700 m/15416 ft)

    Today weak up early in the morning hike up to see the Gokyo-re at the elevation of 5360 meters which is just above the Gokyo village. Once at the top of Gokyo Ri, a spectacular view of the high mountains including Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and Makalu enthralls you. The view of the Ngozumpo glacier, the longest one in Nepal, is another incredible thing that you see from there. After spending some effort worthy quality time at Gokyo Ri, return back to Gokyo, have lunch and trek via second lake continuous gradual down to Thangna today gives you a fantastic view of glacier overnight at tea house in Thangna.

  • Day 10 Thangna - Zongla (4800 m | 15,748 ft.

    An early morning at first around 20 minute gradual down walk and soon walk up the mountain towards Cho -La pass 5400 meter is an effort demanding activity up high at the altitude. But the effort is well worth taking After about three hours glacial way you will be at one of the high mountain passes Chola pass in the world. Trek steep down to Zhongla overnight stay at Zongla.

  • Day 11 Zongla – Lobuche -Gorakshep (5164m/16942 ft)

    After breakfast in Zongla we continuous walk in alpine zone to Labuche where another route combine. take lunch in Labuche another gradual walk via glacial way over-viewing Khumbu Glacier to Gorakshep stay overnight at tea house in Gorakshep.

  • Day 12 Gorakshep – Kalapatter and EBC (5556m/18223 ft)

    Today another changeling day weak up early in morning to see the sunrise view over the Himalaya spectacular view point is waiting on you at Kalapatthar. Back down to Gorakshep enjoy the Lunch in high elevation at tea house in Gorakshep then hike and explore to Everest base camp The walk goes along the Khumbu glacier, highest glacier in the world,after back from EBC stay overnight at Gorakshep.Another spectacular view point is waiting on you at Kalapatthar. Start your hike there early in the morning to catch up with the stunning sunrise view over the Himalayas. Once you reach Kalapatthar, you will be wonderstruck by the view of the mountains and the sunrise. After spending quality mountain time, return back to Gorakshep for breakfast. Trek down to Pheriche after breakfast.

  • Day 13 Gorakshep- Labuche -Pheriche Deboche( 3770 m/12369 ft)

    After enjoying the morning breakfast in Gporakshep start your hike onward down to Deboche it is long walk but easy down hill on the way down pass many beautiful sherpa village and overnight at Deboche.

  • Day 14 Deboche-Manjo  (2815m/ 9235 ft)

    Take your breakfast and walk up 30 minute monastic village to Tengboche. visit Tengboche monastery which is large monastery in Khumbu.then after continous down to fungi thanga and again up to Sanasha continous walk gradual down to Namche from where you had taken a diffrent rute to Gokyo.take lunch in Namche and continous down to Manjo overnight at Manjo.

  • Day 15 Monjo- Lukla (2860m/9380 ft)

    Walk another six hours back to Lukla today after your breakfast. The walk passes through Phakding where you had spent you first night in the mountain. Reach Lukla and spend some leisurely time there.

  • Day 16 Lukla -Kathmandu (1337m/4385 ft)

    Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. You will be picked up on your arrival at the airport and then transferred to hotel. You have a free afternoon to relax or explore. We will meet in the evening to go for farewell dinner.

  • Day 17 Free day in Kathmandu (1337m/4385 ft)

    Spend your free day in Kathmandu exploring around.

  • Day 18 Departure

    We will drop you to airport three hours prior to your flight time.
