Overview

The Poon Hill and Mulde View Trek is a delightful nine-day short trekking adventure in the mesmerizing Annapurna region of Nepal. This trek offers the opportunity to experience breathtaking sunrise and sunset views from two of the most popular Himalayan viewpoints - Poon Hill and Muldai View Point. While Poon Hill has been a tourist favourite destination for many years, Muldai View Point remains a hidden gem, overlooked by regular people away from trekking routes.

The journey begins in Kathmandu Sightseeing, and the following day, early in the morning, drive to Pokhara, the City of Seven Lakes. From Pokhara, you embark on a thrilling drive to Nayapul, the starting point of your trek. As you start walking from Nayapul, you'll be greeted by the charm of quaint Gurung and Magar villages nestled beneath the snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna Range and the iconic Machhapucchre (Fishtail) Peak.

As you traverse the trail, you'll find yourself amidst one of the most extensive rhododendron forests in the world. During Spring, this forest comes alive with over a million blooms, painting the path with vibrant colours and creating a truly enchanting ambience.

Your first stop is the picturesque village of Tikhedhunga. From these two vantage points, you'll be rewarded with a stunning 360-degree panorama of over twenty-two Himalayan peaks, including Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, and Annapurna I. The breathtaking views from Poon Hill and Muldai View Point make it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and trekkers seeking tranquillity away from the crowds.

The other highlight of the trek is the awe-inspiring sunrise view from Poon Hill. To reach Poon Hill, you'll trek to Ghorepani, passing through the enchanting rhododendron forest. The sunrise view from Poon Hill is a magical moment, as the first rays of sunlight paint the snow-capped peaks in golden hues, creating a mesmerising spectacle that stays etched in your memory forever.

After relishing the views from Poon Hill, you'll ascend to Deurali to serene and peace with the spot of Dobato, marking the end of your short and sweet trek.

The Poon Hill and Mulde View Trek are ideal for those seeking a relatively easy Himalayan trek with breathtaking vistas. It is perfect for beginners and families with kids. While good health is essential for trekking, prior experience in hill walking is beneficial. The best seasons to embark on this adventure are Spring, autumn, and winter, as the weather during these times offers clear skies and stunning views of the majestic Himalayan peaks.

Overall, the Poon Hill and Mulde View Trek promises an unforgettable experience, where you'll be immersed in the natural beauty of the Annapurna region, surrounded by towering mountains, lush forests, and the warm hospitality of the local communities.
